Thank you to Cafe Central

Blyth Star Enterprises would like to say a huge thank you to Maxine Carr, owner of Cafe central in Blyth’s Market, for raising £212 through a raffle in aid of our charity!

Maxine is always ready to support local charities and goes the extra mile to help people in the local community. It’s amazing that she still finds the time to support our community during what has turned into such a strange and challenging year.

We can understand why Café Central has such loyal, generous customers and want to say thank you to all who took part in the raffle. By taking part you helped Blyth Star Enterprises raise funds that go toward the provision of care, supported living and sheltered employment opportunities for the 300 people we currently support.

For those who aren't familiar with our charity, we support people with learning disabilities and/or long-term mental ill-health. As you can imagine this year has been challenging. Currently, the additional stress, anxiety, and uncertainty associated with another lockdown is making it harder for many of our service users to manage their lives. This is why we do what we do and why every donation, fundraiser or sale means so much!
