How you can help

Become a Trustee

As a registered charity, Blyth Star Enterprises is governed by a Board of Trustees who are ultimately responsible for the governance, compliance and strategic direction of the organisation.

Our Trustees are all volunteers who give a great deal of time and expertise to the organisation, bringing a broad range of professional experience to the table.

Every year at our annual general meeting, we review our Board membership so we are always on the lookout for individuals who may have life or family experience of mental health and learning disabilities and who share a passion for improving the opportunities available to individuals in Blyth and South East Northumberland to join our cause.

If you;

  • Have a genuine interest in seeing improvements in adult social care provision in our local community
  • Are passionate about caring for others
  • Can commit the necessary time to attend meetings and review documents
  • Have skills, knowledge and experience to offer

I started my career at Blyth Star as a volunteer but I ended up joining the staff bank as a casual worker. It’s a wonderful organisation.
