Specialist Community Residential Rehabilitation
Our Specialist Community Residential Rehabilitation Service provides individuals with access to 24 hour support, 7 days a week.
What’s involved?
Housed within one of our two apartment buildings – Custom House and Bradbury’s Old Chandlery, service users who access Blyth Star's Specialist Community Residential Rehabilitation service become tenants of their own self-contained, one-bedroom apartment. There are 13 apartments in total across the two adjoining buildings, each with its own en-suite bathroom or wet room, kitchen and living area. Service users also benefit from around-the-clock staffing and access to a shared social area and outdoor courtyard.
How long can service users stay?
We don’t put timescales on our service users’ residencies with us, we recognise that rehabilitation and recovery is a personal journey and we encourage individuals to move at their own pace towards regaining control of their lives and living independently.
Inclusive Support
As part of the rehabilitation service, we offer three days’ inclusive access to one of our day services – Stakeford Nurseries, The Woodfuel Centre or The Steamboat, where individuals can further develop their confidence and social skills. Supported by our friendly and highly-skilled team, service users are also encouraged to maintain multi-disciplinary contact with their psychiatric team and key worker during their time living at Custom House or Bradbury’s Old Chandlery.
