Independent Supported Living
Independent Supported Living (ISL) is a service that helps people to retain their independence while still having the benefit of the physical and emotional support they need to lead fulfilled lives in their own homes.
What’s involved?
Blyth Star's Independent Support Living services are based within our purpose-built apartment buildings - Custom House and Bradbury’s Old Chandlery. In this setting, service users have their own tenancy agreements and have full control over their bills, household chores and other responsibilities involved with running their own home. However, additional support is available around the clock should they need it.
Taking the next step...
In addition to the apartments within Custom House and Bradbury’s Old Chandlery, Blyth Star Enterprises own a number of properties within the community which are made available to service users who are ready to take the next step toward living independently.
Inclusive support
Each property comes with a minimum of five hours' support per week which can be tailored according to the person's needs. Support packages are developed collaboratively between Blyth Star’s Living Support coordinators, Care Managers and service users themselves and are reviewed regularly to respond to changing needs.
