The internet is, for many people, a primary source of information. While we have taken steps at Blyth Star to ensure that our website is as user-friendly and accessible as possible, we can’t deny that there isn’t A LOT of information on our website, which for some people, might be a little overwhelming.

With this in mind, we have introduced a new suite of Easy Read documents onto some of our webpages.

An Easy Read document is information that has been made easier to understand using plain English and pictures. Easy Read documents follow a very simple layout and are designed to appeal to readers of all ages and abilities.

You can find Easy Read documents on the following pages on our website:

To view and download the documents, simply click on the button wherever you see ‘Easy Read’ (example below):

All of the pictures used in our Easy Read documents have been sourced from ‘easy on the i’: an information design service within the Learning Disability Service at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. For more information, visit: www.learningdisabilityservice-leeds.nhs.uk/easy-on-the-i/.
