Blyth Star Enterprises offers a two-fold approach to day service provision.
Our social care day service at The Steamboat in Blyth supports adults at risk of social isolation and mental health deterioration through a programme of engaging activities that promote social integration and independent living skills.
Operating alongside this service, we have two small business enterprises within the community – a horticultural plant nursery and a woodfuel factory and carpentry workshop which provide accredited training opportunities and simulated work experience for those who need vocational support.
Blyth Star Enterprises accepts referrals from Social Workers, Care Managers, the Mental Health Integrated Care Team and all other health and social care professionals for adults with a diagnosis of mental health needs or learning disabilities or a dual diagnosis, who meet Blyth Star’s client criteria.
