A message from Gordon Moore, Chief Executive Officer at Blyth Star Enterprises:
“A few weeks back, we posted to share the news that Blyth Star Enterprises had been shortlisted in the Heart of the Community category at the Tyneside and Northumberland regional final of the North East Business Awards.
“A small party of Blyth Star staff attended the awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel, Gosforth Park, on Thursday 22 February where we waited in anticipation to find out the result.
“Unfortunately, we were unsuccessful on the night, however, we take great pride in the fact that we were the only charity to be shortlisted for the award amongst much larger businesses, AkzoNobel and The Reece Group.
“To make it to the final is a great honour for Blyth Star Enterprises and I’d like to thank everyone who helped to make it possible, from the staff at Blyth Star for their hard work and dedication, to the category sponsor, BorgWarner, for believing in our organisation and the work that we do within the local community.”
