Overview
This Accessibility Statement applies to the website for Blyth Star Enterprises Ltd (blythstar.org.uk)
As a service provider for individuals with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities, accessibility is something which we have considered carefully during the development of our website. We have tested and re-tested the contrast ratio of all text and buttons and have ensured that each page is structured correctly.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website however, we are aware that parts of our new website may not be fully accessible for individuals who use screen readers. This is something that we will strive towards improving.
Accessibility tools
In addition to the accessibility settings that you can change within your browser window, we have incorporated a plugin to our website which is designed to help alleviate some of the most common accessibility issues. This means that users should be able to:
- Resize font (increase/decrease)
- Grayscale
- Apply a negative contrast
- Increase contrast
- Apply a light background
- Underline hyperlinks
We have also tried to make the website text as simple as possible to understand and have used readable fonts throughout.
Please note that this plugin does not make the website fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
